Autoimmune thyroiditis & fetal risks...and toss in a conversation with Dr. Hazan, a sulfur protocol by Chris Masterjohn and some zinc and resistant starch to feed a healthier gut microbiome.
Thank you for this very informative research article. Could you possibly provide more information on thyroid issues and bone health? And again, sinerely and appreciatively thank you : )
Thanks and you're very welcome! For bone health/thyroid overlap: Look at my vitamin K2 series, fairly recent. Improving gut health so the gut makes vitamin K2 for us is critical for bone and thyroid health I think. Supplements of K2 are too low compared to animal dosing suggests in successful studies. Microbiome Labs Bacillus subtilus/spore probiotic is what I recommend to help along with the zinc and resistant starches. See my resistant starch/butyrate (2 pages) on jenniferdepew.com. I forgot to link them. See my archives here for a few iodine focused articles, or page G9. Iodine and Thyroid on effectivecare.info for an older overview I wrote. Higher dose iodine and selenium and sunshine and magnesium, and taurine to help carry vitamin A ... all seems related. Thyroid hormone, and activated A and D all work together. // Health is complex. Sunshine and movement are really critical for the A/D balance and to promote thyroid health. The D/K2/magnesium are critical for the bone health with enough calcium, but not too much or too much phosphorus. Mainstream diet and supplement balance leans towards too much calcium and not enough magnesium or vitamin K2 to balance. Natto soybeans are a source if of adventurous appetite (and no histamine issue with fermented foods). Check my archives here for an article with tips for eating/acquiring a taste for Natto soybeans. //// summary point.... work on gut microbiome balance and those vitamin K2 producing helpful species.
