I would agree that there was an interesting transition during the viral Twitter flack. First the female therapists who are black let me know how racist it was for me a white woman and non social worker, or non practicing clinician, to "tell" a black woman with apparently "better" credentials or work than mine what to do. Then, second battalion was a PhD black man pontificating on my racist whatever. And a variety of white woke women/therapists then were up to really help me see what I did wrong and that I need to apologize....and then that my apology was wrong and I needed to rewrite according to Wok scripted apology style which is about my being wrong to "center" myself and wrong to suggest that my having meant well counts for anything. IMPACT > Intent. That is teaching people to take offense and seems to minimize real harm doers.
The cullers fully intend to maim and kill - premeditated homicide is worse than a gullible idiot following the kill protocols for extra bonus money, but both patients are dead. Certainly impact counts but in a verbal misunderstanding? Your feelings are hurt and it is my fault for saying something out of concern? I guess I will just smile and mod pleasantly. And maybe use the cross cultural "Bless your heart" but probably not as that might be cultural appropriation. 😉

An acidic condiment side dish of some sort is typical and a quick Flatbread of some sort, beans of some sort, and a fresh veg side as well as cooked veg standards. Chocolate is a bonus.
