Aw, thanks!

I forgot aloe vera I think. Need to edit.

Aloe vera gel and then the black seed oil is even better for skin health.

Doc, can black seed oil be used for treating lichenification of skin (primary or secondary causes)?

I'm looking into it, so randomness will follow.

Itchiness seems to be the most 'known' causal factor - many other skin conditions may be involved and lead to the thickened patches of skin. This article primarily has standard treatments. https://www.healthline.com/health/lichenification#outlook At an initial guess, omega 3 fatty acids are critically important for having smooth flexible membranes.

Aloe vera got a lot of search results - it is anti-inflammatory. https://search.brave.com/search?q=Lichenification+and+aloe+vera+treatmet&source=desktop

I found a great article - top essential oils and other oils for use on Lichen sclerosus include Black seed oil, Neem, castor, coconut and olive oil. Also, Lavender, Lemongrass, Tea Tree and Oregano essential oils. Oregano essential oil can be a skin irritant. It is more typically used by mouth in capsules as an antimicrobial. Lavender is awesome for skin conditions and can be used undiluted or only diluted a little bit. Oregano oil is important to dilute first and lemongrass is diluted before topical use too. https://www.vedaoils.com/blogs/essentialoils/essential-oils-for-lichen-sclerosus
