Yep. I feel like this is a continuation of the current societal drift of changing the meaning of words. You can call it an exosome or a virus... it's still something doing damage. And virology labs around the world manipulate these things all the time for years and years. "It" does exist and "It" does make people sick and yes, there is contagion.
Science is -- hypothesize, test, observe, replicate....hypothesize, test, observe, replicate. And so it goes, which is why we know more now than we did 100 yrs ago.... and will know more in another 100 yrs... if we survive this. If the "no virus" group would offer up an alternative that could be tested, observed and replicated then I would be more apt to listen to them. But so far it's just criticisms.
Kevin McKernan has a good article on one of the latest discoveries that he says does prove the existence of viruses... or whatever you'd like to call them. I'd post it for you but I've made a terrible mess of my files :((((.
Love your final salutation ---"Peace"... always a good reminder to be still and let the chaos flow somewhere else.
JD - Excellent missive and now I will smoke another Morley and tell you a little story.
The Sun revolves around the Earth, which is the center of the universe, the Earth is flat, and viruses do not exist. Such are the rantings of idiots. Evil is predictable, idiots are not, they are dangerous. Never argue with idiots, like a pig they will drag you down into their mud pit, and on lookers will find it difficult to discern a difference.
As for this brand of viruses do not exist idiocy, as simple replicating RNA molecules, they existed before the first cell formed, and developed the ability to infect the first cells. The predominant lifeform on this planet is, always has been and shall forever be viruses.
Were it not for their prolific parasitic & pathogenic hospitality which has evoked evolution's hand at every step & turn, at best rather than being nitwits, the talking monkeys would not have the ability to speak or string two thoughts together and would be picking nits off each other. Without viruses, this would be a lifeless rock.
The truth is the "no viruses exist" crowd is a counter psyop which by the pure absurdity of their beliefs, is designed to discredit and mislead. They are defined as useful idiots for a reason Agent Scully.
seems plausible and interesting perspective to look at the evolutionary history. DNA is a molecule unchanged for millenia.
Does the smoking man smoke Morley's? I found it kind of amusing that the video labeled him the Well-Dressed Man or something like that. He was always under a streetlight smoking a cig.
The Smoking man wiki - "His stated justification is a desire to prevent the alien colonization for as long as possible; in the episode "One Breath", he tells Mulder that he is in the conspiracy (which he calls "the game") because he believes that the secrets he keeps could, if publicly revealed, threaten the social order that preserves society: "If people were to know of the things that I know... it would all fall apart".
He is at times shown working towards that goal, particularly in connection with developing a vaccine to protect people from the "black oil", a parasitic agent which the alien Colonists use to propagate themselves.[11]"
It kind of seems that way. The snark level in the documentary video was over the top - out right trollish. And it strongly implied that while chimeric spike is patented by Ralph Baric, it is all just 'fake' and therefore of zero importance or risk. Manmade gene sequences are unimportant because they are not "real virus" and therefore is just fake stuff. roughly
A bullet is not a virus but it can still hurt you if fired from a gun.
I am interested in credible info because I started working on a 'course' or presentation on the topic of 'No virus?' then what is there? Something is hurting people.
Thank you Jennifer. Very cogent and well written article. I concur absolutely regarding the virus/no virus shenanigans. Not helping make anyone better! So much non sense to sort through. Nice work! 🙏
I had symptoms which followed a documented arc and which responded to the cures suggested broadly in alt media... and I have had long covid symptoms. I tested positive for covid when I thought I might die and negative after I recovered. As Ricky said to Lucy—‘Splain!’ What caused the millions of us to feel horrible? That was different than any other illness in my experience.
That said, since the ‘’80’s the idea of viruses has felt weird: even though they are not alive the scientists infer consciousness! “Ebola is mutating to become more contagious”... like saying my suitcase is buffing itself so it can travel more frequently. A strand of protein does not choose as could a living organism.
Saying our bodies sometimes produce toxic exosomes which we then shed makes more sense than believing a protein chain with spurious intent morphs itself to outsmart our immune systems.
Virus mutate because that is just what their design readily supports. Media messaging needs a villain to hate and fear and drum up more fear about.
And I agree - I got sick and it felt different than any other sickness I've had and I've relapsed with it often enough to start avoiding busy places or to go to medical offices without a KN95 mask. The KN95's did seem to help reduce the relapse episodes as long as I didn't stay in the medical places for very long. Under an hour ideally.
Excellent post. Without a doubt it is the lack of understand of the whole field of exosomes that has generated the 'no virus' debate. That and a lack of the mysterious complexity of genetics and bio systems in general. This is where concepts of morphogenetic fields as an underlying 'causal terrain' come into importance.

I do wonder what is going on with graphene oxide.
"Something exists" indeed.

What strikes me about the stack you commented on was the snarky tone of the post itself, let alone the comments.
In the end, I agree with Dr. Meryl Nass on "No Virus" - it's a PsyOp.

It became another work in progress. ;-)
I'm still looking into it.

Thanks and I agree, morphogenetic fields do seem to be an important thing for us to understand better.
