JD - Another beautiful missive. When people ask how are you doing? So many pissed off people, many respond, it's a shitty day. My answer: I'm alive, then I tell them my philosophy...

If I wake up, before opening my eyes, I take a deep breath and then flex my arms to my sides.

If my elbows don't hit wood it's all good, this is one more day borrowed from death. If things don't go my way, I just reflect, life is too short, so every second wasted being angry, is one less second that one can be happy. Kiss an old person, hug an animal, rather than take it for granted, appreciate all that you are so fortunate to have, and the TIME to enjoy it.

Love this post and very interesting observation at the end. I have to agree. When people seem entirely focused on one thing without even considering an either-or situation, I think something is up. Why not germ/terrain plus more theory. I personally embrace the ideas of many different things going on (and why I love your posts). I also believe it is the uniqueness of the individual including behavior, environment, choices, hygiene, what they just ate/drank or have been eating, their pH, their job, their activity level, how they handle stress, genetics, people they hang out with, their emotional/spiritual state, etc. I think asking whether viruses exist to much like asking the question, do electrons exist? What's more important to understanding relationships and able to predict outcome with a level of certainty. For example, if I visit a house with sick persons, is it important to know whether I had been eating "correct" or exactly who I got sick from (which is often impossible to know including at what moment)? What I know is I'm less likely to get sick if I decide to postpone my visit or eat "healthy" with moderate exercise and good hygiene and still visit. 🙂

I have gone to "no virus" substacks to make these same sort of comments, but the authors/readers don't engage in the discussion when good points are made. Another reason I don't hang there for long lol. I believe some people want to be known for a particular idea and "own" it or want to be considered part of that movement and it is what draws some people to them and then because they receive that attention they stick with it. I think the human body and larger ecosystem is a wonderment and enjoy it as such. One could focus on how did those rocks get stacked like that or how I enjoy looking at the rocks stacked so unusually or would it be safe to climb and stand on those rocks? I partake in all of the above with great enjoyment!

Essential oils are awesome. Use them daily. Thanks for the link to the medical aromatherapy book! I’d not come across that one.

Also thank you for another excellent article Jennifer! 💖
