Happy Birthday to a one of a kind brilliant dietizian;)

You make 57 look like 37!

But you lost this Italian with that birthday "cake"šŸ¤Œ

How does it even hold together?

you are very creative and original I'll give you that! I may just try it too as curious but ain't holding my breath! Or maybe I will hold my breath as I eat it;)

If we lived close and borders were open I'd drive over and bring you some homemade Tiramisu ;)

Not the keto kind either..

Cuz well, life's too short not to eat real bday cake:) even for health conscious dietisians;)

May God richly bless your year and refresh you, as you refresh others!

I eat odd things because of autoimmune disease. I can't eat a lot of or most of the ingredients in standard baked goods.

My 'cake' holds together by the emulsifying power of the golden flax meal, sassafras leaf powder (Gumbo file) and the pomegranate peel helps a little too, not as much as the flax or Gumbo file. They were my own gathered and dried leaves too. Interestingly, it is different than store bought. I gathered leaves that were still green, midsummer, after a storm dropped a big branch. My powder is very green and makes things slightly green and the taste is significant and good compared to the standard. The emulsifying power may be reduced. Standard may be made from leaves in the autumn after they fall - maybe a change in starch and phytonutrient content occurs.

I use it in my licorice pudding and it increases the nootropic mind clearing effect. Sassafras leaves are a medicinal too. This would be an easier recipe to try if you want to experiment with medicinal herbs in your food (without needing to avoid eggs in baked goods). https://denutrients.substack.com/p/retinoid-toxicity-strikes-again

I was teasing , I know you have autoimmune and more and must follow a restricted diet..

I will look into that link and still curious on trying avocado parts..I just only planted the pit and nice little tree

I just read yesterday by dr Ardis how licorice stops venom coagulation when heparin , Coumadin etc can't

But right now I'm hesistant to mix that along with all these blood thinning products already on..

But how cool if we could ditch the other stuff and just use licorice root or tea etc as Rx

Happy Birthday to You! šŸ’šGreat tips here!

I started taking DHEA after my third of four daughters. I was 38 and feeling very off. I had a hellacious menopause because I had two preteens, two young daughters and was going through a divorce, plus I had adrenal fatigue, without a doubt! I tried taking Pregnenolone for sleep recently and it made me have horrendous night sweats, so I stopped it. I take an Ayurvedic formula that does wonders for me- Essential Female plus TCM for the liver. I need melatonin, magnesium, plus a special chocolate to be able to sleep well. Iā€™ve had sleep issues since I was a child probably from a few head injuries.

Thanks, and to you too!

Dimethylglycine, 1/2 teaspoon in water before bed, may help too. Helps the body slow down and cool down before sleep, which is part of the way it works normally.

I use melatonin during the day with the niacin high dose protocol. It really seems to help me overall. Genetic oddities likely are involved in why some people need it more than others.

Cannabinoids are involved with sleep and I can't make them genetically normally and have found my sleep problems were much worse when I was totally off my med mj - but the other things count too.

Hi Jennifer. Hope you enjoyed your birthday! You are not the typical dietician I must say, which is a great compliment. I do take pregnenolone in the morning along with 10mg of DHEA and last I had a DUTCH test done, my DHEA was still low. Progesterone cream is what gave me night sweats. I am not familiar with Dimethylglycine and I thought I had tried it all! I take niacin on occasion before exercising or infrared sauna. :) Thank you!

Happy birthday, Pisces...I turned 59 yesterday. We never had pool parties growing up, that's for sure! And I awoke this morning to a foot of snow. But my mom always said, "When your birthday rolls around, SPRING CAN'T BE FAR BEHIND." Cheers!
