Not sure about recently but we used to be told to eat at least a few bites of carrot every day for our eyes. What's the new advice for carrot consumption in view of these discoveries.

vitamin A and carotenoids are very healthy for anyone who doesn't have the overactivation problem. Doing an elimination diet would be my tip for people who have chronic symptoms that might fit the description.

I was on two rounds of Accutane in my mid twenties while in college. I later suffered a horrible mono infection (EBV) while in school that left me with CFS. I also didn’t know I have EDS until my mid 40s.

Sometimes I’m amazed we’re able to survive this earth at all.

Maybe the EBV left you with an overactivation of retinoids problem. It really can cause a wide range of odd symptoms that get called other things. - and left untreated - with an elimination diet. It is a big change to cut out most vitamin A and carotenoid foods.

I never had taken a stand alone "A", only very intermittent use of a multi containing A. Among the many, new to me, supplements I purchased, as they were referenced in the context of covid, is a cheap Swanson bottle of vitamin A 10,000 IU 3,000 mcg RAE from cod liver oil and vitamin A palmitate referenced as a covid times addition to the D3 and K2 MK 7 I have loaded up on. I have been looking at this bottle for some time. I had an inner awareness surfacing that said no to starting regular supplementation without knowing more as is the case with the new array of supplements on my shelf. Thank You
