I supplement with Turkish Rhubarb, many potential anti-viral and anti-cancer properties.

Very welcome! It may need to wait until next spring, somewhat of seasonal crop. I haven't really looked to see if you can buy it frozen off season.

Yes definitely next year but now I am ready. I saw it offered at my organic farmers market but wasn’t too interested then. Now I’ll be awatching and awaiting! And if it works out I’ll be aplanting too! Thanks again for all the wonderful and inspiring information.

I bought some powdered Turkey Rhubarb root after seeing your reply and noticed a plant for sale, larger size bucket but almost 70$ I was astonished. They are perennial as long as you keep removing the flowers before they reach seed stage. The plant is actually a biennial and will need new sprouts going after it goes to seed. The flowers aren't very pretty anyway. Just cut them off whenever they show up and the cluster will get enormous and last decades. They like a lot of sunshine but can handle colder northern climates.

Wow , that is a lot of $ for a plant albeit a large one. Probably worth it but not on my budget. I try to find those good old clearance sales.

Looks like my market still has fresh available! Yippee! Will try these and your recipe, I am hopeful and always excited about health promoting food.

Yes, very expensive. Find someone with rhubarb growing and the clump should separate into smaller sprouts and get one or two of those going. Once you have a big clump you will have plenty of rhubarb. It is like zucchini in that way. Once doing well, you have plenty.
