Periodontal/gum disease linked to liver cirrhosis and leg swelling. Hmmm; & Mitochondrial dysfunction and archea.
Quantal perception by intergalatic archea - say what? I will need to read more on that. Diet tips included though for reducing overgrowth of archea/archions.

Homemade Mouth Wash, recipe by Lindsay Elmore
1/2 cup distilled water - I would suggest substituting pomegranate rind tea for additional antimicrobial benefits that also support healthy bacteria.
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
4 drops Peppermint, 3 drops Clove, 2 drops Tea Tree essential oils
Xylitol to taste.

I do have early stage gum disease and am way overdue for a dental cleaning at this point. I had let it go while my dad was on Hospice after a bad appointment with a dental hygienist who would not give me a straight answer on how much longer she was going to take. Even after explaining that my elderly parents were at home with a paid aide and I really had limited time, she just got madder and took it as me being rude. I felt trapped at an appointment that already had taken 45 minutes and we hadn’t even gotten to the teeth cleaning part yet. She spent a long time measuring my ‘pockets’ - areas of the gum that had pulled away from the teeth. That is a sign of early gum disease and too much tarter build up.
Apparently scraping the teeth under the gum line is a standard dental practice. It sounds like a good way to spread infection to me, but Dr. Michelle Jorgensen says the tarter itself contains infectious bacteria and that is why the gumline pulls away from it, so it does need to be removed.
I currently do have a sore tooth/receded gum area and I have switched to oil pulling with coconut oil and a drop or two of Tea Tree essential oil, instead of brushing so much. I may have been over-brushing too vigorously. I also chew and swish an activated charcoal tablet about once a day or every other day. I have tried to do more thorough but gentle flossing - the goal is to scrape the side of the tooth, pressure against the tooth instead of going to far down into the gum. Guidance for how to brush teeth has changed since I was a kid.
I have been using a drop of Clove essential oil on the sore area of the gumline two or three times a day. The combined change in strategies has seemed to help.
Pomegranate juice or tea made with the peel is also an effective oral rinse that is antimicrobial but supports healthy microbes instead of killing everything in your mouth microbiome.
Myrrh or Cedarwood essential oils are recommended to use topically on the inflamed gum tissue. I have Myrrh and it was soothing on the gums. It makes a nice hot beverage and may improve neuroinflammatory conditions like Alzheimer’s dementia.
My lab tests that were drawn on Monday are quite improved. Removing fish and other animal products from my diet again was my big switch. I also stopped the Mucinex and increased consistent use of my Cheerful Juice with Dimethylglycine. Glycine is needed to excrete salicylates and the body and urine need to not be overly acidic. I will start taking omega 3 fatty acid as a supplemental oil again.
My Labs from Jan 22.
My MCV and MCH were still elevated, even more so. Red Blood cell, RBC was the same, too low. Calcium was in the normal zone at 9.2 from 8.5 on Jan. 2nd. Albumin was in low normal range at 4.0, up from 3.4 and Total Protein was up to low normal range at 6.4 from 5.7.
Alkaline Phosphatase was still high but had dropped to 200 from 231 (reference range 44-121 IU/L). AST (SGOT) was also high but had dropped to 68 from 126, (reference range range 0-40 IU/L). ALT (SGPT) was still high but had dropped to 65 from 95, (reference range range 0-32 IU/L).
Lipase remained elevated at 101, (reference range 14-72 U/L)
Amylase hadn’t been drawn before and was elevated at 142, (reference range 31-110).
Pancreatitis might be suspected if amylase and lipase were above 200 U/L. (healthline.com) Poor liver function from cirrhosis may cause amylase and lipase to accumulate in the blood instead of being broken down by the liver. (Pezzilli, et al., 1999)
“A decreased liver metabolism of serum amylase and lipase in patients with chronic infective liver disease, especially in those having liver cirrhosis, may lead to an accumulation of these enzymes in the blood.” (Pezzilli, et al., 1999)
Autoimmune hepatitis
The anti-Smooth Muscle antibody lab was the only autoimmune lab that was elevated for me, however it may be typical of autoimmune hepatitis to only have the SMA autoimmune antibodies. Whether molecular mimicry is involved is not known. SMA may also be elevated with fatty liver disease and over liver conditions. (Sebode, et al., 2018)
“On a molecular level, anti-SMA are a heterogeneous group of antibodies showing reactivity against actin, tubulin or intermediate filaments (34).” (Sebode, et al., 2018)
I do think it is suspicious that I am worse after having added fish back into my diet, so I did stop eating it to see if it made a difference and maybe it did. A little more time and a few more series of lab tests will help clarify whether it helped. Subtle signs of increased inflammation: Eating fish did seem to make me flush harder with high dose niacin compared to not having much of a flush reaction prior to adding fish back into my diet. Based on this research article about diet, molecular mimicry and autoimmune disease - I shouldn’t eat whale either, or rabbit. (Gershteyn, et al., 2020)
One thing I did learn of importance for a vegan diet - in addition to fish or krill oil for omega 3 fatty acids, I should be sure to get some Black Currant Seed oil or other source of the omega 6 fatty acid gamma-linolenic (GLA).
Mitochondrial dysfunction and autoimmune disease -
Endosymbiotic archea may take over within cells, and overgrowth of them causes dysfunction of mitochondria. They can form an electric network and can use energy from EMF - which is another reason why EMF is bad for our health. (Kurup, Kurup, 2021)
Plants that might help autoimmune disease, autism and cancer as antibacterial - for targeting excess archeal growth:
Curcuma longa (turmeric/curcumin),
Emblica officianalis, (Indian gooseberry),
Allium satavum, (garlic),
Withania somnifera, (ashwagandha),
Moringa pterygosperma, (Moringa/moringa leaf), and
Zingebar officianalis, (ginger). (Kurup, Kurup, 2021)
Also follow a high fiber, legume protein ketogenic diet that is high in medium chain triglycerides. (Kurup, Kurup, 2021)
*New book, (Kurup, Kurup, 2021) a brief skim led me to the diet tips and a need for more time to read that book - excerpt below. The authors state Ayurveda medicine promotes mitochondrial health while most Western medications are causing mitochondrial dysfunction (that part is true).
I have added artemisinin back into my routine, morning and evening. It is an antimicrobial that has faithfully helped me through the CoV years. I do have some Ashwagandha, it had been part of my daily boxes but I had eliminated it when trying to figure out salicylate excess. That seems less of a problem when I have my DMG containing Cheerful Juice. Beets and artichokes are something I’ve been craving lately, and leeks and parsnips are a good combo in bean soup or as stir-fried veggies. Leeks have good fiber for the gut microbiome.
I understand leeks better than archea:
“Homo sapien extinctus
The homo neanderthalis and homo neoneanderthalis have endosymbiotic archaeal symbiosis. The endosymbiotic archaea secrete RNA viroids which can be acted upon by HERV reverse transcriptase generating corresponding DNA sequences which can be integrated into the genome by HERV integrase. The archaea l digoxin can edit the RNA viroids producing widespread diversity. The archaeal porphyrins can serve as a template for the generation of RNA viroids, DNA viroids and prions. The RNA viroids and DNA viroids can recombine with RNA and DNA viruses in the environment generating new RNA and DNA viruses. The RNA and DNA viroids can exchange their sequences with environmental bacteria generating new bacteria. Thus there can be endogenous generation of new RNA viruses, DNA viruses and bacteria in homo neanderthalis and homo neoneanderthalis consequent to endosymbiotic archaeal overgrowth as a result of global warming. The homo neanderthalis and homo neoneanderthalis are resistant to this newly generated RNA viruses, DNA viruses and bacteria and act as an environmental reservoir for them. The new evolved RNA virus, DNA virus and bacteria generated from environmental reservoir of homo neanderthalis and homo neoneanderthalis infects the unprotected homo sapien species exterminating the homo sapien species. The homo sapien species is in decline as the homo sapien albino mutants are getting converted to homo neoneanderthalis and the African/Asian homo sapiens are getting exterminated by epidemics of new RNA viral infection generated by Neanderthal reservoirs. This homo sapien species can be called as homo sapien extinctus.
The archaea can induce stem cell conversion and neanderthalisation of the human species. The archaea catabolizes cholesterol generating digoxin which can modulate RNA editing and magnesium deficiency resulting in reverse transcriptase inhibition. The archaeal cholesterol catabolism can deplete the membrane rafts of the CD4 cell of cholesterol impeding the entry of the retrovirus into the cell. The archaea can produce permanent immune activation producing resistance to viral and bacterial infection. The archaeal cholesterol catabolism depletes tissue cholesterol producing vitamin D deficiency and immune activation. Thus archaeal overgrowth results in retroviral resistance and generation of the Neanderthal phenotype. The endosymbiotic archaea can secrete virus like RNA and DNA particles. The endosymbiotic archaea can induce uncoupling proteins inhibiting mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and generating ROS. The endosymbiotic archaeal magnetite can generate low level of EMF. The low level of EMF and R OS are genotoxic and produce breakages in hotspots of chromosome. It can also trigger rearrangements in hotspots of chromosome inhabited by retroviral and non-retroviral elements producing their expression. The archaeal secreted DNA and RNA viroids can recombine with the expressed retroviral, non-retroviral elements and other genomic segments of the human chromosome generating new RNA and DNA viruses. Thus the neanderthalised humans can serve as an origin for new RNA and DNA viruses as well as mutated retroviruses. The endosymbiotic archaea converts the Neanderthal cells to stem cells. The stem cells are resistant to immune attack. The stem cells can serve as a reservoir for this new RNA and DNA viruses. The stem cells and archaeal cells can also serve as a reservoir for viruses and bacteria belonging to other plants and animals. This helps to generate the species barrier jump in noted in recent emerging viral and bacterial infections. Thus the endosymbiotic archaeal growth produces neanderthalised version of homo sapiens which are retroviral resistant and resistant to other viral and bacterial infection consequent to immune activation and digoxin induced RNA editing. The endosymbiotic archaeal overgrowth mediated neanderthalised version of homo sapiens generates new mutated RNA and DNA viruses as well as retroviruses at the same time being resistant to them as in the case of the species bat. The homo sapiens do not have the Neanderthal mechanisms of immune activation as their archaeal load is meagre. They serve as fodder for infection from Neanderthal generated viruses and bacteria and suffer eventual extinction.

Major benefits
JD - Elevated test results as read by Gregory House...
1. Positive AMSA results are > or = dilution of 1:40. Infectious mononucleosis? Lupus? No it's never lupus.

Could also be of autoimmune origin viz. primary biliary cirrhosis or sclerosing cholangitis
Bile one off?
2. AST, ALP, ALT liver panels could be abnormalities of the thyroid or GI tract, such as celiac disease or gallstones. Bile two, a coincidence?
3. MCH, MCV macrocytosis - hypothyroidism? gastritis? celiac? IBD? Crohn's? Alcoholism? Folate excretion via bile. I'll see your two pairs of thyroids and GI tracts, and raise you Bile trips, three's a charm, it's a trend.
4. Amylase, Lipase both pancreatic enzymes - bromelain much? diabetic ketoacidosis? gastroenteritis? Again biliary pancreatitis? GI trips, but four Bile's, it's a pattern.
Correlating the above, it's not degenerative mitral valve disease, your not a toy poodle. It's not FelV, your not a feline. It's not alcoholic hepatitis, your not a drinker. The GI tract, you got that licked. Sphincter of Oddi? Nah. Gallstones? Gallstones might stick in the common bile duct leading to either cholangitis or pancreatitis. Could mimic liver cancer & hep. Ultrasound?
