I had 12 years of religious education at school.... I am not religious as such, but I know that some of our positive western morality is based on the Bible's basics- The 12 commandments and the 7 deadly sins seem pretty righteous. So it is important to keep these teachings so we don't fall into barbarianism?
The main issue I see is of " awakening" of people ( everyone has blocks to whatever the truth may be.) that are religious in Vax science or god bothering, is that asking people to read or see something that challenges their core beliefs is virtually impossible.
Mathew 24 -
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
"Survivors on high country which had not been inundated can be found in Filipino narratives,"
Sir Terry Pratchett's novel Nation - have to wonder if that was the basis...
"When a giant wave destroys his village, Mau is the only one left. Daphne—a traveler from the other side of the globe—is the sole survivor of a shipwreck. Separated by language and customs, the two are united by catastrophe. Slowly, they are joined by other refugees. And as they struggle to protect the small band, Mau and Daphne defy ancestral spirits, challenge death himself, and uncover a long-hidden secret that literally turns the world upside down."
Ah finally, the mystery of Prince's Purple Rain solved!!
Maybe, hard to really know though.
That was "awesome", thunderbolt and lighting awe!

The good bits of the Bible are guiding us towards healthy living - so yes, guidebook. Just not a wrathful God watchingbus at all times.
The anointing of oil is teaching sanitation skills.
I have more on the way.
I think it is worth notetaking.

I've only read a couple of his books but he seems to be clued in on some stuff!
A lot of big sci fi authors are insider cult I think. I didn't get into Discworld, so am unfamiliar with his work.
Discworld just seemed like some flat earth stuff, and did not hold my attention anyway... didn't get past compact disc#2 world.
