Wow, a simple increase from 2 Nature Made B-complex to 3…

(at 110 lbs) reduced horrible debilitating night sweats dramatically ! from sleeping on beach blanket towels and running to the shower at 1, 2, 4 ,5 am to sleeping with covers, and pajamas within 3 weeks!

So much for the nonsense “diagnosis” of Anxiety…

( which was odd in itself….)

Thank you for saving months of physical distress, frustration with blood tests, potential mental evaluation~ probable imposition of anti-depressants…

For little more than a vitamin deficiency.

May supreme positive powers which dominate this universe protect you and your commenters.

To decrease this sudden increase in body temperature …

Try Niacin supplementation?

As all other pathways have been exausted?

I don't think so. I am not exactly sure what you mean, but that doesn't sound like what I meant.

Mitochondria are able to release inflammatory oxidative energy as heat when extra niacin and mitchondrial cofactors are present. There is a temporary warmth for about a half hour but that is better than chronic inflammation staying in the body and doing damage.

Hello Jennifer! Thanks for writing on the "Mysterious Niacin"...I had already started Niacin since last 3-4 months and gradually increased dosage to 3gram a day from 100mg tablets a day...seems my body just needs it.. after going through the Hoffer book i started 1 gram of Niacin + 1 gram of ascorbic acid too for sometime (then added sodium ascorbate, calcium ascorbate and magnesium ascorbate too and rotate them instead of taking only ascorbic acid), seems this work good for me. Ofcourse taking Niacin along with high dose methylated B complex ( separate or as b complex ) at times also keeps me in good shape! some experiments here and there with inositol + Niacin , Curcumin+ Vit E + niacin ,melatonin +Niacin ( already known from your articles ) and Nac,Cq10,ALA +Niacin too at times (we had some discussion in TG channel of yours long back)...

Regarding your latest addition on 500mg in between or early morning as extra dosage i suppose thats on empty stomach only? if yes then do we need to keep some gap between next meal or snacks (like 30 mins or an hour or so )?

Thank you again for keeping our spirit high in this times,

Best Regards,

I was having difficulty with forgetting doses and getting serotonin low symptoms. So I was trying to be more regular about breakfast, lunch and dinner doses - 3 a day for me while I was struggling with monkey/sunburn/chickenpox. Niacin flush plus those are unpleasant. I was trying to describe that I've made an early morning 500 mg my first of the day, then I have a brunch, later lunch, and maybe an evening dose of 1000 mg with ~ 10-20 mg of melatonin 15 minutes prior. It does seem to reduce the temporary itchiness. Some days I only get it in twice and the 500 mg would help on those days. I am too inconsistant lately - have been writing a lot.
