"I did try to talk to my father's cancer doctor about pomegranate peel and he didn't really even hear me/listen, immediately dismissive about it, and my dad was a believer in people called doctor."
If you put in a packet with a fancy name like "Egolytin" and said it was a new chemo drug I bet he would be interested?
To some docs it's like the old gag about milk coming from supermarkets.
Kind of true. There was something on the news about the latest theoretical cancer med and he was kind of interested but then I offered fenbendazole and he refused.
He was ready to die to be blunt. Caregiving for my mom with Alzheimer's was too much for him and he couldn't admit that - couldn't give up reins of power or fear for her or something and trust that I knew what I was talking about. He came around eventually. She did get calmer under my care and was able to just sit and hold hands with him again instead of the constant paranoia and adgitation.
off topic, but thought you might like this comment on women news anchors (can we not say female?, no?, should I be saying news anchors who are women? Am I hopelessly pedantic?)
Thank you Jennifer!! Excellent post; it will be interesting and informative to see where it leads you. All the Mercola-Dinkov video interviews are great. Peace.

Kudos, Jennifer. I hope you were able to salvage some feeling of satisfaction in providing the best care you could manage. Bless you for trying.
I am sorry you lost your Dad Jennifer. May he rest in peace.
