Essential oils can lift the mood so early cleaning products capitalized on that, but artificial fragrances became cheaper I think and commercial products tend to no longer contain real essential oils for the fragrance (and real mood lift). Pine and citrus oils are also good at cleaning/solvent for other grease. The peppermint probably does too. Any essential oil is very concentrated.
