Reminds me of my walk in the Fens of Cambridge. Beautiful clear blue sky, winds sweeping gently from somewhere in the Arctic. Hoar Frost like yours but very few trees. Only a Fox chasing a Hare broke the tranquility. Came across a pub and they laughed at me when I walked in with icicles in my beard.
I love taking pictures during winter ❄️ but we didn’t get snow or ice this year think the lowest temperature we had so far was 15 degrees. Thanks for sharing ❤️
There has been very little snow where I am at too, compared to my childhood. It has been extremely mild this winter. Lots of rain and only a couple snowstorms.
Nice pictures. We nave often appreciated nature's Ice Sculptures.
The rainforrest of Coastal British Columbia offers many variations during the Winter.
The different stages of wood decomposition and different amounts of cold, and also the different speed of freezing, gives quite a variety of frost crystals. Sometimes the frost crystals form a white halo more than two inches in diameter around rotted branches.
I grew up with a photography dad who had a darkroom in the basement. I learned from him and took a class on black and white developing at a college too, so I have been into photography since I was a youngster.

thanks and sounds lovely. It can be hard to photograph ice.
It can be hard to photograph anything well. How long have you been working at this?
