Magnesium was my first Don Quixote topic. Pomegranate peel came later. So much medical research doesn't even mention magnesium. it became more clear as I kept reading.
JD - "Is health worth $200 per month? Or $800 per month? Or $10,000 per month? At what point do we see that “healthcare” also needs to be affordable (and it should always be safe and effective - or why do it? Just to give money to a medical industry profiteer?)."
Indeed, and what part of "for profit" did the public forget?
all of it? - or the part about their being a widgit in the illness management industry?
Regarding the treatments being safe and effective - I looked into that a little - "First do no harm" was changed into - this condition is so bad that we see the prognosis as hopeless and therefore trying something dangerous is a reasonable risk to take on the slim chance that it does help the hopeless case....
but all sorts of conditions that have underlying nutritional issues are called "hopeless"- unknown cause.
I figured out that just 1/6 of a pomegranate or so is the perfect addition to a salad, the right amount of pith that can go in too, and that bit of peel can go right in the hot water for some tea. No need to clutter up the fridge with leftover parts!
Well, I guess if they have discovered magnesium at least they are catching up a little bit!
I could use some fine-tuning information about melatonin, I love the wonderful sleep I get after taking it when I wake up at 3:00 or 4:00 a.m.... but I guess I am finally realizing that this is what is leaving me really dysfunctionally tired until 11:00 am or so. I guess I should try a lower dose at those times.
Magnesium is fantastic in supporting electric health - as all metabolism is run by our electron transport chain: https://romanshapoval.substack.com/p/thelightdiet

I get cranky about it.
JD - seek cures they do not, only ongoing treatment.
