Great lookback on historical pollution. Especially the coal burning in the cities Which I think China is suffering from now.

The dead zones in the water - just awful. I wonder if they can eve. be fixed. In rivers the key is Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV), which produces oxygen of course.

I was suggesting dumping magnesium sulfate, Epsom salt, in the areas that are too acidic. Don't know if the chemistry would work though. Or bulk/price.

Hmmm, interesting idea. I think at some point lakes afflicted with acid rain were being corrected with something... I'm thinking calcium carbonate off the top of my head...

I love it in my bathtub though !

Hi Jennifer, love your work. May I suggest you do a little research re abiotic origins of oil? I no longer use the term ‘fossil’ fuels. Speaking of scams, the idea that oil came from ‘fossil’ fuels in limited supply well served the Rockefellers. Best, Diane https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2008RG000270

"India's capital shuts schools as 'death trap' smog chokes city

India's capital New Delhi switched schools to online classes Monday until further notice as worsening toxic smog surged past 60 times the World Health Organization's recommended daily maximum ..."

hmmm.... traffic, industry, a trash burning power plant, farmers burning stubble in their fields... let's see how farmers, not the trash burning power plant, get blamed for the smog in the continuing effort to shut off our food supply.. In the meantime, India is selling butter to Russia, because Russia is looking at food shortages because ,,,, Ukraine? Yah. Guns and butter.

IS BUTTER A NEW GOLD IN PUTIN’S RUSSIA?
