I try to keep my Bs in balance, with some of each in higher doses. They are all teammates in methylation cycles. For MTHFR alleles, B2 in high dose throughout the day may help more than excess methyl folate which can inhibit methylation in excess. B2 is a cofactor of the MTHFR enzyme and it gets bumped off with the C677 alleles (I not sure about other alleles).
B1 is important for anyone with excess inflammation. B6 and zinc can be really low if pyroluria is a problem.
I increased mine to more often per day when I learned that MTHFR tip, and it can be related to migraine headaches which I have had severe. Less often now except for mold is a trigger and a little more mystery headaches with my recent health issues. I really need to take the DMG every day is what I have learned. And the other stuff. :-)

Yes, to the pharma part, but the quote works for herbal medicine or functional food too. Pomegranate peel extract will make you regret drinking too much later that night when a roommate is locked in the bathroom.
tl;dr: toxic/therapeutic dose ratio for cholecalciferol is about 100,000:1, which is about three orders of magnitude safer than that for sodium chloride (or ethanol).
Of course, lethal doses of the latter are somewhat hard to take orally while the former can easily be swallowed; but still, you cannot get an acute poisoning from supplements because you won't have 100,000 daily doses at hand. Chronic negative effects are of course possible.
So the upshot is…are D3 supplements safe or not let’s say in 5,000 iu per day?

Probably safe, 2000 would probably be fine though. And K2 with gets the calcium where we want - the bones, not soft tissue or blood vessel linings.
So if it was you and you had double MTHFR (if that matters), would it affect how much D and K2 you took?
I’m still finding my way through the methylation forest. Just recently realized I was getting too much B12 but way under with thiamine.

I’ve found a huge difference in taking B1 and I do that several times a day too.
Most of my B vitamins are in liquid organic form making it easier to adjust things as needed.

When effective sunshine/UVB lights are available then you can cut down on synthetic D3 - Dosage should account for all items.
Cut down on glyphosate too. The D3 helps bypass the glyphosate effects and sunshine wouldn't I think.
