JD RD - I have a question, do you know of any way to tell the difference between when you are tired and you need rest versus when you feel tired but what you really need is to get out and get exercise... and/or have more coffee or nicotine or ephedrine to get going
That's a tough one but the easy Button answer on Stimulants is if you need those then you probably need tge rest more. I have been napping more lately and there is a difference in feeling wide awake in the morning versus groggy.
I can't have coffee anymore but occasionally was taking excedrin for the caffeine. But it is not as good as being well rested.
What may help is iron chelators if fatigue seems ongoing. The inflammation may need to be corrected before feeling more energy.
The more aware your are of your own patterns the easier it is to tell if a nap is needed or a few jumping Jack's to get the blood moving. That might be the other test - move a little and see if you get into it versus feeling more like sitting.
We can fall into sitting too much and having a hard time building back. It is hard to know once into autoimmune issues. Relapse is easy to do and takes a little while to recover from.
