If NNMT is harmful when over expressed, is it then harmful, useful or indifferent to supplement beta nicotinamide mononucleotide - couldn't that increase NNMT too as a reaction?

Not sure but I think someone who was actively working towards mitochondrial function with supplements would be helping. NNMT is an enzyme rather than being NAD

Yes, and I thought that maybe if one supplements a precursor (?) to NAD, that new oversupply could maybe upregulate the NNMT enzyme that from the sound of its name seems to break down nicotinamide related stuff...? I don't know...

I need to read more about it as I am speculating that it is upregulated when the one carbon methylation cycles aren't working well. Too much fat balance in diet maybe, or low B vitamins.
