B.I.T.E. model of authoritarian control, Dr. Steven Hassen and The Century of Self documentary.
Wilhelm Reich's daughter Lora is interviewed in The Centruy of Self.
*This post got long and left me with a lot to think about regarding advertising and manipulation of human behavior and communication expectations - and the suppression of Wilhelm Reich’s research. Within this post I summarize a lengthy documentary series about psychoanalysis within advertising and governmental control which Dr. Steven Hassan recommended watching.
The documentary is The Century of Self and it contains mainstream versions of a lot of history and seems to be giving us the history of insider cult takeover of media and governments via Freudian psychoanalytic theories. Sigmund’s nephew Edward Bernays and his daughter Anna Freud played major roles in the takeover of the US advertising industry and the hypersexualization/slut-ification of advertising and media.
On the topic of control of information, that very long post on biofields published by GreenMedInfo.com does not mention Wilhelm Reich at all. I consider that a huge fail for a site that is considered an alternative health site.
I have more thoughts about the advertising takeover and where we have arrived since then in our world of online sales and social media communication. The Focus group approach to learning what the consumer wants was an Edward Bernays innovation which now is everywhere in our online and real world. I think consumers got so used to being catered too by big business, and then by politicians, that now the average person seems to expect that level of catering from everyone, or risk being deemed rude. Everyone is now kind of expected to subconsciously know the rules of marketing and be able to ‘market’ their social media presence and comments - what are other’s desires or goals and how can my post fit their needs and how can I inform them of how it will fit their needs?
That is actually a lot to ask from non-marketers. Yet ‘selling’ your personal brand is so pervasive now that little kids are learning ‘marketing’.
This seems like a problem, which I may right another post about. For now - a lot of advertising history is in this post along with how cults tend to work. The two topics do seem to fit hand in hidden glove. (#puntentional)
The internet offers lots of articles explaining why Napoleon is shown with a hidden hand. It was supposed to indicate “leadership in a calm and firm manner”, for example. None of them mention the Freemason use of the hidden hand as a signal of being in upper levels of the power hierarchy. Many powerful leaders and celebrities have also been photographed with a hidden hand. (Reuters article suggesting Fauci’s hidden hand pose had nothing to do with Freemasons) Reuters is allegedly part of the insider controlled media.
The hidden hand of the market is an economics phrase too.
Economic concept popularized by Adam Smith
The invisible hand is a metaphor inspired by the Scottish moral philosopher Adam Smith that describes the incentives which free markets often create for self-interested people to act in the public interest. Smith originally mentioned the term only in specific examples. Wikipedia”
If you do this for me, I will do that for you. That is standard commerce, unless it is a hidden monopoly of seemingly separate businesses who are working together to keep prices high and other competitors suppressed.
Original post.
Dr. Steven Hassan is America’s leading expert on cults. See his website for courses and more information, (freedomofmind.com).
Dr. Steven Hassan’s BITE model of Authoritarian Control, pdf guide: (sync.com) The information on the pdf is also on this webpage: (freedomofmind.com/cult-mind-control/bite-model/)
“Many think of mind control as an ambiguous, mystical process that is difficult to define. Mind control refers to a specific set of methods and techniques, such as hypnosis or thought-stopping, that influence how a person thinks, feels, and acts.
Steven Hassan developed the BITE Model to describe cults’ specific methods to recruit and maintain control over people. “BITE” stands for Behavior, Information, Thought, and Emotional control. The BITE model should be used within the Influence Continuum Model to help determine authoritarian control. Not every group or relationship uses every one of these. Some are universal such as deception (Information control), indoctrinating people to distrust critics and former members, or installing phobias to make people afraid of questioning or leaving.” (freedomofmind.com/cult-mind-control/bite-model/)
This is very helpful info. Each topic has a list of things that tend to happen in cult type groups, not all groups use all of the methods.
We are here within the US now:
“INFORMATION CONTROL
Deception:
a. Deliberately withhold information
b. Distort information to make it more acceptable
c. Systematically lie to the cult memberMinimize or discourage access to non-cult sources of information, including:
a. Internet, TV, radio, books, articles, newspapers, magazines, media
b. Critical information
c. Former members
d. Keep members busy so they don’t have time to think and investigate
e. Control through cell phone with texting, calls, internet trackingCompartmentalize information into Outsider vs. Insider doctrines
a. Ensure that information is not freely accessible
b. Control information at different levels and missions within group
c. Allow only leadership to decide who needs to know what and whenEncourage spying on other members
a. Impose a buddy system to monitor and control member
b. Report deviant thoughts, feelings and actions to leadership
c. Ensure that individual behavior is monitored by groupExtensive use of cult-generated information and propaganda, including:
a. Newsletters, magazines, journals, audiotapes, videotapes, YouTube, movies and other media
b. Misquoting statements or using them out of context from non-cult sourcesUnethical use of confession
a. Information about sins used to disrupt and/or dissolve identity boundaries
b. Withholding forgiveness or absolution
c. Manipulation of memory, possible false memories”
Dr. Hassan’s take on the Barbie movie is that it is about someone who realized they were living in a mind controlled world and they became deprogrammed from it.
Dr. Hassan recommends that we watch this documentary: The Century of the Self (Full Adam Curtis Documentary), (Youtube). We are informed in the documentary about an unknown nephew of Freud who is not as well known, named Edward Bernays.
Edward was the first person to use Freud’s findings about psychology and human motivation to make advertising more ‘effective’ aka more manipulative. Edward Bernays was the marketing ‘genius’ who figured out how to get women to smoke cigarettes in public. He decided to target women by suggesting that cigarettes were being withheld as a masculine emblem of the penis. He hired a bunch of pretty rich young female socialite women to show how empowered they were by joining together and openly smoking their “Torches of Freedom”, while walking in the Easter Day Parade in New York City. It worked. Smoking in public became a sign of female ‘liberation’. (and later was promoted as something to help keep you “slim” and ~ beautiful, with “Virginia Slims”.
He continued this trend in marketing - using pretty young celebrities to wear and use his products and he had them speak out about how they choose this look to show their unique personality and everyone else should pick clothes for that reason too! - “Why look like everyone else? Show off your unique character!”
Short skirts were promoted in a similar way - by having a young cute female speak positively about the value she found in wearing her short skirt. Rough transcript -
Interviewer: “Why do you like wearing short skirts?”
Cute short girl among a packed crowd of business men in suits and hats (outdoor interview ~ on a city street): “There is more to see!”
Interviewer: “but you can’t see it”
Cute girl more bluntly: “It makes me more attractive!”
The Century of the Self (Full Adam Curtis Documentary), (Youtube)
The short skirt made her more of an overt sex symbol and a sexual ‘tease’ and a distractor of men’s intellect.
Men can lose ~ 15 IQ points temporarily when they are around a female that they find attractive or even just by thinking about her. Having modesty within female attire is good for society and for children’s normal development. Early exposure to overt sexuality can make them too interested in sex at an early age, leading to promiscuity potentially, or more inhibited and possibly unable to have normal relations as an adult. It can also increase bisexuality - confused gender behavior.
Modern women I’ve communicated with on Twitter think wearing skimpy yoga pants should be acceptable anywhere and everywhere - men need to just control themselves. That is abusive when the male’s reaction is at a subconscious level. Having some level of school dress codes for females is fair based on my reading of psychology and physiology.
It is also not fair to the female who may not realize what she may be setting herself up for by wearing skimpy clothing in order to attract more male attention. Not all men are rapists, but all men are people with their own thoughts feelings and nonverbal reactions to the external world. The drop in IQ can lead to the male misinterpreting a female’s body language as being interested in the male, instead of just a random smile when she was lost in thought, or just a friendly smile at the male. the male might then become obsessed and turn into a stalker type and nonconsensual sex might be a result.
Women may be afraid of trans women in private spaces, because the male body chemistry is still perceptible at unspoken levels of physiology (pheromones/exosomes), and women have too often learned that men can be a danger to them. Men can be dangerous even without ‘rape’ because having been attracted to someone may lead them to pursue aggressively, and if a No is said, then a women’s career can be ruined by a more powerful man.
Buyer be wary of the phrase “SEX SELLS”.
What is it selling you?
Dictator takeover?
Break down of social structure and increased exploitation and abuse of women and children? Promotion of rape or seduction as a normal thing for good looking men to do . . . in other words, for any man to do? If James Bond can get it off with all the women, young, old, good or evil, then any man has that same right, right? Maybe get her a little drunk or high to help ease the way in…. If Wonder Woman can be controlled by evil men, then all men should do that to women too, right?
Edward Bernays later got the public to start borrowing money to invest in the stock market too. The car industry was encouraged to sell cars to men by suggesting the car was a sex symbol - another masculine penis symbol.
He also was the first to mix celebrities into politics. Calvin Coolidge was not popular so Bernays hired a group of pretty young socialites again, but this time had them visit the White House. ~ “OOH - Calvin Coolidge is so hip, modern and SEXY - look at the girls he attracts to his side!”
*We are only 22 minutes into the documentary at this point. (22:15 / 3:54:43) We really do need to make this guy VERY FAMOUS instead of a hidden side of the history of media manipulation.
We learn in the documentary that Freud was not popular among society in his own era. People didn’t want to look deeper in themselves because it might require also looking deeper at societal norms.
In England it was common for little girls to be trained to dance for audiences of men who liked watching little girls dressed in skimpy dance costumes. There is a video of four UK “Dames” of acting - they were designated Dames because of their acting in the role of Queen Elizabeth or other royal figures. One or two of them got started in that pedo entertainment industry as little girl dancers and said they/she were/was glad to leave that industry for acting roles instead (I forget which Dame or Dames were dancers as little girls at the beginning of their career.) Tea with the Dames, documentary, paywall (Youtube).
Freud became poor as Europe headed towards WWII years. He contacted his nephew in the US for help. Edward Bernays got Freud’s books published in the US and sent his uncle money. Then being a (compulsive) promoter, he promoted the books in a racy way - revealing to the US how his uncle had learned of our hidden desires and inclinations . . . and tied it to his marketing symbolism - phallic male cars and unspoken desires. He encouraged Freud to write a mainstream article in a woman’s magazine and Freud refused - too common, too not academic in values, roughly. (The Century of Self, ~ 22-26 minutes in)
The documentary continues and reveals that Freud’s suggestion that all humans are irrational and dangerous underneath a veneer of civility. This reasoning was used to shift politics towards a need for controlling the masses, the public ‘herd’, because they would not be trustworthy with democratic control of society. Instead a small group of ‘elite’ should be in charge of society, The Century of the Self (Full Adam Curtis Documentary), (Youtube), because apparently they wouldn’t be susceptible to irrational and dangerous human inclinations? There is a word for that and it is “hubris”.
‘Hubris’ definition: excessive pride or self-confidence.
"the self-assured hubris among economists was shaken in the late 1980s”
“(in Greek tragedy) excessive pride toward or defiance of the gods, leading to nemesis.”

I found this documentary while looking for the Dames one:
Original title: Salt of the Earth (1954) Black & White version:
• Salt of the Earth (1954) Biography, H... Based on actual events; New Mexico’s Empire Zinc mine, Mexican-American workers protest the unsafe work conditions and unequal treatment & wages compared to their Anglo counterparts. This film was made by blacklisted film-makers in retaliation for being blacklisted. They reasoned that since they weren't allowed to work in Hollywood, they might as well make a film to fit the "crime" for which they had been accused of by the Un-American House Activities Committee. But this film was first released in 2014! For more information about this era of censorship & blacklisting watch the documentary: Hollywood on Trial (1976)
History is written by the ‘winners’, and therefore is largely “propaganda”.
Edward Bernays was used to help the processed food market take off in the 1950s. He also invented the consumer ‘focus group’. He considered all people to be quite ‘stupid’ according to his daughter. The consumer focus group could be shown ads or products and first hand reactions could be filmed and psychoanalyzed. Why were housewives who said they wanted more convenient food products not buying the Betty Crocker instant cake mixes? Bernays found it was guilt. The housewife felt guilty that taking such an easy way out was cheating her husband who deserved homemade food. Bernays told Betty Crocker to make the women add one egg to the cake mix - that would make it seem like they were making their own homemade cake. It worked. And now barely anyone knows how to make a real cake from scratch. *I grew up with homemade sponge cake as the norm. Cake mixes were an occasional thing which were never as good as the homemade cake.
Edward Bernays was used to help stoke the Cold War fears against Russia and then made up lies about communist control being in charge of Guatemala when he was hired by a banana company to ‘fix’ their problem in South America where a new leader was no longer letting the old banana deals continue. Edward Bernays invented communism there and the US government helped a coup take place that put a more banana company friendly leader in charge. The Century of the Self (Full Adam Curtis Documentary), (Youtube).
Anomalies - WWI history is given as mainstream gives it - distorted and false in many places. The history of a few things were mainstream. the history of Wilhelm Reich is given and his work was misrepresented - false regarding the science. His daughter was interviewed and she was set up to look a little bad with the idea she was taking revenge on Anna Freud for her role in having Reich’s career ruined.
*This is near in the beginning of part 3 ~ 2:00:00. It is three episodes of a series on one video.
The point in bringing up Reich was that Anna Freud had grown huge in the US and international psychoanalytic field and its mixing with politics and commerce. Lora Reich makes the point that Anna was a virgin who had been traumatized by her father over his catching her masturbating. She staked her career as an adult on the idea that humans are irrational dangerous creatures who need to be controlled. Lora’s point was this woman never knew normal sexuality.
Wilhelm Reich’s work as a psychoanalyst had led him to discover that people’s mental and physical symptoms could be cured very simply with their opening up to their sexuality, removing inhibitions and shame. His theory, said Lora Reich (daughter), was that society and people are the way they are today because of the repression of our natural instincts for sexual health. It is healthy, and thrown at us everywhere in the media as something more about power, control and instant lust.
The documentary went on through the election of Clinton in the US and the Labor Party in the UK, after reviewing the populist/individualist candidates Reagan winning in the US and Margaret Thatcher in the UK. They used Focus groups and psychoanalyst methods to attract the younger voters who had been raised with the advertising messaging of be a unique individual! Focus on yourself and your own desires! That had been a shift from 1950s and earlier eras that valued social cohesion and fitting in to established norms.
The sad for UK part of the history is that Clinton used the Focus groups to set policy, knowing that he just wanted to get reelected, not really meaning to continue setting all policy based on consumer desires. The Labor Party copied his words and tactics and also won election, but then screwed up by not realizing that it was just a stageshow. They kept making policies based on the whims of consumers and stopped maintaining the railroads. Cutting taxes may seem like a rewarding marshmallow, but the wise person realizes that we can’t live on marshmallows alone.

Hi Jennifer,
honestly i have to get outside and don't have time to read this now, Apologies!!
but the post from Green Med Info about quantum whatever sparked my "GRRRRRR" response. I have been annoyed by this quantum bs since about 20 or 30 years ago when my doctor suggested i read Quantum Health or whatever, and I told him, i tried, but I don't understand it. I don't think anybody does.
And me, a solid proponent of distance (telepathic) animal communication, and even telepathic animal bodywork, which i have witnessed in action!!
So here I will suggest looking into an alternative, the Electric Universe. Here's what VICE said about this idea (over 5 years ago) "At worst it's sheer crackpottery like homeopathy and astrology, making claims clearly contradicted by the evidence." Which of course lends it credibility in my eyes..
https://www.electricuniverse.info/
yesterday I tried to add comments to a sponsored narrative stack about KLIMATE, and all my comments were removed and i was banned within hours. This is a totally different issue, but just gives more credence to any idea that is censored, in my mind.
Keep up with the skepticism, Jennifer, you have good intuition and at this point I think it might be the most reliable path to knowledge.
Loved that documentary! Well worth the watch.
