Thanks, NN. Exercise helps too. I have been spending too much time at the computer for months. I got outside yesterday after posting that.

Well, you could get more of the microbes in your gut that create Butyrate, or you could get the Butyrate from animals that have these microbes in their gut and then just eat the butter they produce in their milk. The taste of butter is the taste of Butyrate. I like butter, I learned I do from putting a buttercup under my chin when I was a kid.

Butyrate is added to margarine to give it flavor of butter too. Butyric acid is formed after you eat butter and it gets hit by digestive enzymes or sometimes forms when butter gets rancid a certain way. Butyric acid doesn't taste good when thrown up.

Thanks for the reminder Rick - grass fed cow's milk butter generally has more good stuff, I am not sure if it makes a difference for butyrate. I personally can't have animal products. I did retry ghee and that didn't work for me.

Well this must be a great article. I've been blowing off my daily 2 mile walk this week. A few paragraphs in I felt so guilty I went for my walk. It was great. I hate you : )

Motivated me too. I dug a small ditch and filled it with 500 pounds of rocks. Now I am sore but happy to have fixed a puddle situation.

Now to keep it up tomorrow 💪 more digging in the backyard could be done. Digging is good exercise.

Great article and wealth of knowledge and insight! Many many thanks for sharing the article…⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Certain other activities and lifestyle choices that can stimulate the production of BDNF, include:

.

Diet: Consuming a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids, found in fatty fish, nuts, and seeds, can help increase BDNF levels. Additionally, foods high in flavonoids, such as berries and dark chocolate, may also have a positive effect.

Sleep: Adequate sleep is essential for the production of BDNF. Sleep deprivation can lead to a decrease in BDNF levels.

Stress Management: Chronic stress can decrease BDNF levels. Practices such as meditation, yoga, and deep breathing can help manage stress and potentially increase BDNF levels.

Social Interaction (surprising)! : Social interaction and maintaining strong social connections can also stimulate BDNF production.

Sunlight: Exposure to sunlight can increase BDNF levels. Vitamin D, which is produced in the body in response to sunlight exposure, has been linked to increased BDNF levels.
