The VIA (Values in Action) Character Strengths nonprofit site has shared a January calendar of daily exercises/links to read to help strengthen our character strengths. The traits of Curiosity, Zest and Spirituality are the focus for the month. (pdf in my Dropbox) (download your own copy on their site, sign up for their emails and there may be a February calendar next month.
It is empowering to think that we can improve ourselves, rather than feel like we were handed only so much of a skill and that is all we get. I may be better at somethings than other things, but that doesn’t mean I can’t get better at a skill with practice.
