In looking into the question of “How much resistant starch should we eat each day?” The answer was a resounding “A lot more than currently!” Raw veg and fruit have more than cooked source so it seems likely that we need more raw low calorie veg along with cooked resistant starch foods.
Two pages on jenniferdepew.com are about butyrate and resistant starch. Zinc is also needed for butyrate producing microbiome species to be able to thrive. Pomegranate peel helps those beneficial types and is an antimicrobial against negative types.
