Plant Polyphenols - Eat Plants! handout version; Squirrel... calming effect of rhythm & poetry on our brain waves.
I revised the polyphenol poster into a one page 8 1/2 by 11 handout.
The font is a little small in some sections, but viewed online could be zoomed in on. The links should be clickable when viewed online. The colors are mild enough that it should look okay as a black and white copy too.
Plant Polyphenols handout: (sync), menu offers Open to view online or Download to save a copy. The poster or handout version can be downloaded from this web page (earth-ocean.info)
The 2025 calendar page has activity sheet downloads and a copy of the Squirrel Appreciation Day coloring book, although I will am still revising the format before having any copies printed. (earth-ocean.info)
“Sea Legs” -
(idiomatic) The ability, when walking aboard a ship, to anticipate the motion of the deck so as to walk steadily without losing balance.
(idiomatic) The ability to travel by ship without becoming seasick.
Baby tree squirrels live in constant movement in their lofty nests and would have “sea legs” - sailors used to living at sea with wave action as a constant underfoot. Venturing to the ground the first time may feel a little odd at first - the sailor now on shore!
Rhythm can help synchronize our brain waves and calm or stimulate us, while discordant sound or rhythm may be de-synchronizing, disorganizing of our energy fields.
Happy Squirrel Friday! Every day is a good day to appreciate nature!
