Histamine causes problems, (Table 1. Symptoms of Histamine Excess and of Retinoid Toxicity.)
Treatment’s difficult,
Screening’s difficult,
Pomegranate treats and prevents long-term damage; however, it cannot stop the underlying causes and provide complete relief. Dosing twice a day or more may be necessary for acute relief.
Histamine excess has many causal factors, (Addition: Table 12. Potential Causal factors for histamine excess or Retinoid Toxicity),
Leads to pain hypersensitivity and hyperexcitability.
Pain hypersensitivity also has many causal factors. (I need another Table. Table 3. Causal Factors for Pain Hypersensitivity. *new numbering system)
What might help reduce histamine and pain hypersensitivity?
Stopping the causes - reduce inflammation triggers, add modulators and inhibitors:
Dietary changes, elimination diet to identify personally inflammatory foods/categories - Table 2. Potentially Inflammatory Food Categories;
Lifestyle changes - Table 3. Self-Care Patient Guidance for ME/CFS, hyperinflammation, Retinoid Toxicity and/or histamine excess;
Emotional coping skills - Table 4. Counseling Strategies for Coping with Urges to Self-Harm;
Add modulators and inhibitors for TRP channels (niacin/butyrate & bitter tasting phytonutrients, magnesium, inositol, glycine, serine, cholesterol sulfate, cannabinoids), improve deficiencies or rebalance essential nutrients - Table 5. Nutrients depleted by common psychiatric medications; and nutrients that may be deficient or imbalanced in patients with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder; or Alzheimer’s dementia, HD, or PD; and mitochondrial support nutrients - all four groups overlap. *and I should add a column for nutrients that may help or be depleted in CoV issues - it would overlap too.
Screen for gene differences and add supplements or enzymes as needed as available for gene differences - Table 6. Genes that may be involved in Retinoid Toxicity or Histamine excess.
Pomegranate products are modulators/inhibitors of inflammation and histamine excess, and therefore would be added in step 1 or 4 above. It can help acute symptoms and protect against long-term degeneration.
Table 7. Health benefits observed with pomegranate products. *incomplete.
Table 8. Phytonutrient content of Pomegranate products and extraction methods. *incomplete. Tables regarding antimicrobial research combines what I was attempting in Tables 7 and 8. Their Tables include which species were targeted using pomegranate extract, standardized to 13% ellagic acid, or other extraction methods are listed. (Celiksoy and Heard, 2021) It is a Chapter in an open access peer-reviewed book: Pomegranate, IntechOpen, 2021.
Table 9: Topical and Pharmaceutical trials with Pomegranate products.
Table 10. Research with pomegranate peel as a food preservative or ingredient.
Table 11. Industrial applications with Pomegranate peel.
Histamine receptor or TRPV-1 antagonists may give some symptom relief, but trials found too many adverse side effects due to the broad range of functions histamine receptors and TRP channels provide for us.
Stick with it: Enjoy better quality of life and gradually reduced hypersensitivity as the body heals over time. It takes six months for autoimmune antibodies to fade once the antigen is restricted. Be patient and look at the diet and lifestyle changes as life modifications, not a temporary diet for a few weeks.
*That is only 342 459 484 words - much better. ;-) (I left out some Tables.) (…and words.)

Peace is recognizing that we instinctually fear and worry. Let it go.

Mental adjustment may be critically important - are we listening to placebos or nocebos? We can make ourselves sick with worry. Covid19 symptoms are also symptoms of chronic fear/stress. The media Feardemic added to making people sick. Let fear go. It is inflammatory. Let that be your first lifestyle change on the route to better health.
Blame is another not helpful thought - yes, someone else may have done bad things, but complaining will not change that now. Coping is getting on with accepting that bad things happened and therefore action is needed of some sort. Blaming is not taking action to change anything, it is more about seeking vengeance for the wrong. That might feel good, and may be needed for wrong-doer, but will not prevent the bad thing that already happened. Coping with the bad thing is necessary, not just complaining about it.
