More on mosaic patterns in water
There was a question about whether special cameras are needed.
Reviewing the book shows a mixed answer - the mosaic patterns can be seen in normal light (top two photos in the text). A low angle photo got more detail though (lower photo on the page below).
And Infrared photography showed more dense, ‘hotter’ boundaries of the downward flowing protons, Figure 15.11 in the below image.
