MiraLAX is allergy inducing Polyethylene glycol & is commonly used for constipation in children and the elderly.
Tips to prevent or help constipation which use food substances. Also, propylene glycol is just as bad or worse and is in our food and vape liquid maybe. Also, MAID in Canada - bad movie....
I was expecting Psyllium husk fiber, not a CoV Lipid Nanoparticle ingredient, when I opened the package from Hospice. Polyethylene glycol is an industrial chemical being used as an osmotic laxative. It draws water or retains water in the intestines. It also is a common allergen and may cause brain or other problems.

Bad news list of side effects, starting with gut discomfort as just typical, and loss of brain function. Motor tics. This is used for children too… It is an industrial chemical that is also used in antifreeze and brake fluid.

*Polyethylene glycol is not the same as propylene glycol which is even more organ damaging.….and it is used in our foods as an ingredient. It has been found to cause increased apoptosis - cell death, in an animal-based study. (Lau, et al., 2012)
‘Scott, from Crappy Florida’, made a video about the Central Nervous System damage caused by propylene glycol. One of his main points is that propylene glycol is being added to vaping products along with your THC or nicotine maybe. If a ‘drug’ user ends up with brain damage, that was just their own fault….right? The video producer urges you to only use real, whole flower cannabis. I would agree. I tried an oil based vape product once and it was harsh on my lungs, hurting even though it was ‘not smoke’. Proplyene glycol kills cells & suppresses the central nervous system says scholarly studies, Scott From Crappy Florida, (Youtube)
Propylene glycol is being added to lots of processed foods as a ‘flavor enhancer’ even though it has no flavor, and as an ‘antioxidant’, preservative, or as an anti-caking agent. Potassium iodide would be a healthier anti-caking agent unless you have hyperthyroidism.

“Propylene glycol is not banned in Europe. It's used as antifreeze almost everywhere. It is however illegal to use it for stretching wine and other alcohol. Europe believes that things like wine, whiskey and similar drinks should only contain natural ingredients, and adding antifreeze to alcohol is considered cheating. It is still added to all sorts of other things, including food.
This started with the antifreeze wine scandal in the 80s when wineries added antifreeze to their products to make it appear sweeter and more fullbodied. And while that was polyethylene glycol, the ban has been widened to include many other chemicals.” (Quora)
Caution is really needed with U.S. “healthcare” or “food”.
Whole food tips for preventing or helping with constipation
Sweet potatoes are good for bowel regularity. Oatmeal can be helpful. Drinking enough watery fluids overall is also important. The elderly tend to not be interested in drinking water like the thirst signaling is lacking. Prompting them to drink water or watery soups or beverages is needed. *As opposed to diuretic coffee or black or green or Lipton tea.
Moving around helps. Physically helping to keep it all chugging along.
Ground flaxseeds in water or psyllium husk, powdered, would help. Start low and have plenty of water. Sudden changes in fiber intake can be uncomfortable from overfeeding the microbiome. And drinking plenty of water with it is important or premixing with water because it absorbs a lot and the point is to have watery softer.
Soluble fiber, also called mucilaginous, would help retain water in the bowels without risking a bunch of negative side effects or allergies.
Other gut friendly mucilaginous/soluble fiber sources include Gumbo file spice (sassafras leaves, *high in Salicylate), Slippery elm powder, Marshmallow root powder, Irish sea moss, Yarrow flower powder, licorice root powder. Okra is a mucilaginous vegetable and chia seeds and aloe vera gel are too.
I found okra to be less gassy of a vegetable when I added Gumbo file to the cooking water.
These types of fibers are soothing and healing for the gut lining as they are a similar type of starch as found in the gooey biofilm layer protecting the intestinal cells or any other mucus membrane.
Some people may not like the word or idea of “mucus” or mucilaginous, but we need it, it helps us. It is our protective jelly lining which white blood cells move through, on patrol for pathogens. We need the gooey glycocalyx /Biofilm for better health and function.
Caution with industrial strength emulsifiers like Xanthum Gum too.
Modern emulsification in creamy foods may also be industrial strength - and too strong for our gooey jelly lining. It gets emulsified by the strong xanthum gum (industrial) or carrageenan (*natural seaweed but too strong it seems for our gut lining) or soy lecithin. Sunflower lecithin may be better tolerated.
Xanthum gum might be used with muddy concrete or digging in muddy situations - add xanthum gum and it mixes more easily or can be moved through more easily by a machine.
Paid subscriptions…
Housekeeping note - bill paying note - I would appreciate financial help from the people who have made pledges of support. Thanks for the encouragement.
I am going to try to set up payments but I do not plan to add a paywall as my motivation is to provide free public education that is helpful instead of harmful as much of current ‘healthcare’ has proven to be. If people with a comfortable amount of income are able to help me with me goals, I will appreciate that support. The Substack system had $8’s in the fee structure and I left that because I like the infinity aspect of the number. Maybe I can set up a donation button for smaller one time donations. It takes time to write, and I invest money in my work with educational materials and some tech aps and web hosting. Thank you in advance if you become a paid subscriber and support my public health education goals. Sharing my posts also supports my goal of helping more people.

Off-topic video that popped up next - Jordan Peterson interviewing someone about Canada’s new MAID policy - which is medical homicide of disabled people who accept that ‘suicide’ is what they want. Video embedded below. The Horrifying Truth Behind MAID They Aren't Telling You, (Youtube).
The drug that is being used, will cause your lungs to fill with water so the experience is a sense of drowning and will take about 10-15 minutes to die. They are first given a paralytic though, so if the person did want to struggle, scream, or express pain in anyway, they can’t. Families are not allowed to see an autopsy of the person that was killed in the MAID program. Allegedly, the death is supposed to be a painless death, but it would be more like being water-boarded to death which is considered “cruel and unusual punishment” for use in the US Guantanamo high security prison.
Children over age 12 will be able to ask for MAID and the parents won’t be able to stop it. If they try, the parent will be able to be arrested. British Colombia apparently is really bad, in part because housing is so expensive. Disabled people who can’t support themselves are being offered MAID to help them with their lack of money or housing.

“I drowned when I was a teen. It is agony, let me tell you. The last few seconds, you stop caring and black out. I was rescued before there was brain damage. I remember it with crystal clarity. I'd rather face a firing squad than drown again. It's no wonder the government does not want that information to get out. It's not misguided, it's just plain evil.”
It does sound really pretty evil:
“My Mother went to hospital in 2023. She was 91. She had gall stones and needed surgery to fix that problem. I had power of Attorney so they called me. They wanted to give her MAID instead of surgery. I said NO. Then in late 2024 she went to a different hospital not feeling well. The Doctor called me and wanted to give her MAID. I asked what was wrong with her. He said they didn’t know they didn’t think it was worthwhile doing any tests. I insisted they do tests. He called me the next morning and she had a bladder infection. They still wanted to do MAID. I again said no and they kept her there for three days giving her antibiotics. A different doctor called me everyday and tried to convince me to let them do Maid. I was so disgusted.”

“Evil perpetrated with soft voices in the name of "compassion" is the worst kind of evil.”
I would agree, evidence does support the idea that the worst harm is done by people who are convinced that they are helping.
The woman in the video shares the millions saved since MAID was started (>$80 million in one year) and states that honesty would be nice at least. If Canada wants to kill their citizens to save money, just say so, don’t lie and pretend that it is out of “compassion” for the person’s suffering. The suffering is lack of housing, lack of effective healthcare, and lack of quality food. Governments could save a lot of money by stopping the harm of citizens with use of industrial chemicals in our medicines and food supply.
Comic relief (dark humor)
In the US we have a program similar to MAID, you just publicly state that you have become a Boeing whistleblower to begin the procedure.

I'm intolerant to propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, and polysorbate 80. It sucks finding ice creams with things I can tolerate. I also have a slight intolerance to guar gum and Xanthian gum, but that intolerance is not as bad. I can't even use shampoos with those first three glycols and also have problems with lanoic acid and lanolin from wool. It seems to be the emulsifier action I have problems with with these things. There are other things with emulsifiers I have problems with too, but most natural things in foods I can handle better. I can use pure vanilla extract in moderation but not the double acting stuff with propylene glycol in it. So we use the Frontier or simply organic vanilla which has more flavor and use less in baked goods. Not too much problems with the emulsifiers in eggs but a little more problem with the emulsifiers in milk. My milk allergy might be related to this but that is just speculation, more apt to think my milk allergy is from overconsumption of ice cream when I was young. The ER doctor told me I am probably allergic to the milk protein, but an allergy can come from overconsumption of something you are metabolically intolerant to too.
Thanks for the extremely informative, well articulated article,Jennifer. Thank you.
