The book has very easy to use pages summarizing a variety of most typically used strategies for a condition such as Liver disease, High blood pressure or Infertility. Essential oil recommendations are included for each condition along with commonly used herbs, nutrient or functional foods. "Foods that Harm" and "Foods that Heal" are included for each condition along with the Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective for the issue. A variety of other tips or strategies are included in "Other Remedies."
High Blood Pressure - diffuse Lavender, Ylang ylang, Rosemary or Frankincense essential oils. Frankincense and Lavender oils are generally safe for topical use undiluted but the other two need to be diluted in a carrier oil. Herbs - Hawthorne, garlic, and ginger, also fish oil and CBD, magnesium and potassium are mentioned. (page 249)
Osteoporosis - "Mix 2-3 drops Cypress, Helichrysum, or Fir Needle essential oils in a 1/4 teaspoon of coconut oil and apply to the spine and hip three times daily." Herbs - Black cohosh, Horsetail, Dong quai, fish oil, also the mushroom Rehmannia, spirulina and algae, bone broth or collagen protein (*avoid commercial bovine sources which is most products on the market). Calcium, magnesium, vitamins D and K2. (page 265)
Shingles - "Combine 3 drops of Myrhh, Oregano, Thyme, or Geranium oil with 1/4 teaspoon coconut oil and rub onto the affected areas." Herbs - Echinacea, Astragalus, Olive Leaf, also vitamins B12 and C and zinc are mentioned. (page 277)

Chicken soup is an ancient remedy indeed - “Dr. Axe Immunity Bowl” - a chicken soup recipe that includes medicinal shiitake mushrooms and probiotic miso paste to add flavor to the bone broth (ideally bone broth). Cauliflower is a purine rich vegetable and a source of vitamin C and kale is a green leafy veg with beneficial vitamin A precursors, iron, potassium, and other vitamins and minerals. Collard or beet greens would be a healthy swap or spinach, moringa leaves, fenugreek, watercress or other greens. Purines are a precursor for us to make more ATP or more RNA or DNA which we need for making new proteins or for growing cells.
