Biden Trump Debate - a Tarot reading
Political analysis via the Oneness and I. Fool's Dog Tarot app.
Spending too much time on X/Twitter may be my own take home point from this reading - someone replied to a debate post, that they might as well get a Tarot or psychic reading to show how Biden won the debate.
So, I went and did a Tarot spread ~ “Biden Trump Debate, please share any guidance, thanks”. The first card said a lot - an old fashioned circus Merry-go-round. US politics needs to be rebuilt, we keep circling the same topics with the same characters.
The too long didn't read - seems a huge loss for Biden, or a loss for political theater in general, but not a clear win for Trump. Bullying can be a not-winner with the public. We need to take care of the essentials - understanding ourselves and we need to share better among ourselves and with nature. Rebuilding an overgrown devilish monstrosity of politics also seems a need. *Lengthy post because I added screenshots of the cards. The decks are part of a Tarot Sampler app by Fool’s Dog (foolsdog.com).

Significator cards - overarching cards
Seven of Pentacles, »> a circus Merry-go-round was the first card drawn. “Cultivation” What goes around, comes around. Cycles and building civilization. This card typically means that our harvest is planted but we are now waiting for it to grow more. The Circus imagery is not typical of the card, traditionally it shows a shrub with some fruit and a girl with a basket maybe.
The Wheel of Fortune, X (10), was second. “Do not worry about your fate.” “Whatever will be, will be” - song lyric.
Roughly the past moving towards the present:
4 of Pentacles, miserliness was third. It depicts an argument between a male fairy tightly holding a chestnut and an angry squirrel. All around are more chestnuts in the forest so it is wasting time and is about greedy, selfishness. There are plenty of abundance to share, stop arguing and hoarding.
Princess (Page) of Swords, an ancient Egypt deck, is the fourth card. Bullying doesn't win with the public. An ambitious narcissist can be the cause of their own downfall. A female may want this job. (Kamala?)
The Empress, as a cow, is the fifth card. She represents fertility and creativity and a project that needs hidden time to nurture into readiness.
Two of Cups is the sixth card, from a Druid deck, showing Irish looking people in plaid. Bringing reconciliation with loving energy to a division might be the meaning.
Shaman (Hierophant) V (5), is the seventh card. Pay attention to natural cycles. Shift our energy to what is essential, which is understanding ourselves, our essence. Think about how we are using time.
The Devil, XV (15), from the Steampunk Tarot deck is the eighth card. Something has been built that is all consuming, taking too much of our energy, or a mass of stored energy needs release. What we built, though, can be remade.
Ten of Swords, Paulina Tarot deck, is the ninth card.
“A full moon shines light on the weary girl, bringing new cycles of life. Blue is the color of calm and the color pink shows renewed good health. An inevitable ending, emerging from the darkness, a time to recuperate, a sign the worst is over.”
The Ten of Swords typically means a bad loss or death. Change is needed - healing or grieving from something bad enough that it may take professional help.
…. I think Biden lost, but Trump may not have won if enough people still saw him as a bully.
We all lost time with the endless Merry Go Round of political theater. There are enough chestnuts to share if we weren't so greedy and selfish as a society - and/or man is taking from nature, and we should look to restoring the natural cycles for healing.
…. Doing your own Tarot readings can mix your own stuff into the reading. Some of these cards kind of suggest my story too, from seeing them in readings over time. I am not sure what I am to take from that layer of potential meaning. Maybe that I need to think about how best to use my own time? Or that the world needs reconciliation?
Ten of Swords is not really a good card. It often shows a parent grieving over a dead child. A devastatingly HUGE loss. But also a time for a new beginning.
Consider how we are nourishing our bodies and our minds and our souls. “What thoughts are you chewing on, over and over again in your mind?”
Barefoot grounding is good for us and for supporting the planet with our collective energies.
“Remember your Self! . . . Contemplate how to best spend your time!”
The Steampunk phenomenon confused me - why was there such an elaborate world created just for fiction? And it had a huge following. Allegedly it is a soft reveal if parallel timelines or worlds. The Steampunk timeline did not have the Hindenburg burst into flames and that world uses them all the time.
Modern politics is contrary to our best interests. Modern technology is too. It is harming health of the ecosystem and us. We can try to rebuild health but that doesn't always work. And sometimes death is merciful.
We are addicted to modern life, bright lights, virtual reality, instant energy, and instant messaging. Yet, it is unnatural and sickening. We can unbuild the all-consuming monstrosity of modern politics and rebuild a more traditional way of life that lives within natural cycles and shares chestnuts with squirrels and among people.
